It felt awesome to be like a proselyting missionary again

Hello Everyone!
This week I did lots of clean up a the temple. Starting on Wednesday, we were able to finally catch up on mowing. That is always a nice thing, because then we are able to actually able to go and focus on other things. That day, it was blowing more leaves around, and getting them all scooped up.
Thursday I had myself an easy evening in the FDC. Cool enough though, someone actually did show up, and that was a really nice change. I'll tell you that my partner, Brother Cook, was really excited. He went and got really into helping this guy out. He was from Denmark, and he did have a few cool stories to share.
Friday was another leaf blowing day at the temple. Funny story from that day, we all went to Costco to get lunch, and we ran into a set of Proselyting Elders, who were eating there. They were just about to leave, so I didn't learn too much about them but it was fun to talk to them for a few minutes.
Moving on to Saturday though, I helped out in the Discovery Center again, but for a Saturday, it was quite dead in there. So, all of us who worked there had to entertain ourselves for the most part.
Sunday was a pretty easy day. The Primary Program was that day, and the theme was, "I Am a Child of God". It was super cool to hear all of the children's pure and simple testimonies of Jesus Christ. I loved it!
Monday, I spent a ton of time going around to different beds and collecting up a bunch of rotting hasta plants. The had been mostly cut and put into piles, they just needed to be gathered up and moved somewhere else. Oh man though, they were super soggy because it had been raining, and they just smelled horrible. But, they are not on the grounds anymore, so that is good. After all that, we were all able to come together, and hammer out a good amount of leaf blowing. I think the trees are finally staring to run low on leaves, because there was a lot less on the grounds that day than there had been in the past.
And since it is late, I guess I can talk about today, which was actually pretty fun! So, I went in to District Meeting today, and we all read the Consecrated Missionary talk, and we discussed how we each can become more consecrated in our efforts. It was pretty cool. Then, I got to spend basically the whole day with the Elders from my ward. Oh man, it felt awesome to be like a proselyting missionary again.
We went around the area, and our main goal was to get into contact with as many part-member families as we could, since the Elders had just gotten a list of them. We got about three good contacts that day. The first was with an older gentlemen named Mark. He wasn't super keen on taking the lessons or anything, but we talked with him for like 40 minutes just about his life and stuff that he has done. He was pretty impressed with us, as he said that we can stop by whenever to have some conversation with him. I bet with time, he will want to learn more, because he expressed to us how he was impressed with the work ethic he has seen in members of the church, and he really liked how much the members take care of each other(refereeing to ministering).
The second one was a pretty brief contact with a less active family. She was pretty nice, and she asked us for the address to the church, because she heard that church was going down to two hours, and her kids were starting to show more of an interest in wanting to come. And the third contact that we made, we talked with a less active guy for a little while, but he was saying a bunch of weird stuff, so we kind of got out of there pretty quick.
Well, I think that is about it for me. So sorry this one is a little late getting out to everyone. Oh, and if I am correct, a couple people in here have completed their mission as an are home now. Congratulations Sisters! I hope that y'all have a most excellent week wherever you are at! Have a Happy Halloween!
