Hanging out on the rooftop

Up on the roof of the temple

Hello Everyone!

This week was pretty decent. Wednesday I spent some more time going through and getting tulip bulbs planted around the temple. Dang, I can't really recall much about that day, or Thursday really. I did go to the Discovery Center on Thursday, so a bit of work got done there, but it was another dead session in there.

On Friday, Jordan and I teamed up and did a bunch of blowing and mowing around the temple, It is getting really close to the time when we don't have to blow any more leaves, because the trees are looking very bare now. That'll be a good time.

Saturday for me began with a very long session in the Discovery Center. I was really glad that I went though, because right at the end, two older women came in, a member and her non-member friend, and I got to show them around. After the little tour, the non-member decided that she wanted to set up a Family Search account, and I spent some time helping her with that. Once that was set, and she started putting in names, it got really touching. This lady had a whole bunch of just little stories on all the ancestors that she was putting in, and it was really cool to see how much knowledge she had on her family. She was also so excited, that she told me that when she went home, she was going to get right back on, and start uploading all of the documents and stories that she had back at her house. It sounded like she had quite a bit back there, so I was very exited for her. I also went to a YSA Thanksgiving dinner thing that evening, and I had a ton of fun at that.

Sunday was pretty special for family reasons. We went to an earlier session of church, because Kalia (my younger sister) had a hula performance out in Bellevue. She did such a wonderful job, and I am so proud of her!

Monday was pretty fun. I started off digging out a bunch of weeds out of a couple of the beds around the temple. After lunch, I did a little bit more work on the ground, but then I took a little trip to the lower roof of the temple, which was pretty fun. The guy who was power washing the building was done, and he needed help getting his stuff off the upper roof of the temple. So, he lowered it down to Mark and I on the lower roof, and we lowered it down to the ground from there. It was pretty time consuming, but I just liked being on the roof.

And for today, because it was transfers there was no District Meeting, so I spent a really long time trying to get applications in for school. I am just about finished with two of them now, so yay! And that is about all for me. I hope that y'all have a most excellent week wherever you are at!
