General Conference was Awesome!

Hello Everyone!
This week has been pretty decent, if a little wet. It is getting that time of year again where things are cooling down, and getting more wet. But, in my week, on Wednesday at the temple, we got the drainage project nearly finished, which was nice. We spent the day taking all the ends of the pipes that we laid in, and got them connected to the main drainage line, so that way they could start being useful.
On Thursday, I had an early session in the Family Discovery Center, and it got super busy. We had a least 5 groups of people come through. One group was a a recently married couple and the wife's parents, and they were super fun to work with because they were just so excited about everything. They were especially happy to see a lot of pictures of their ancestors that had been put into Family Search that they had never seen before. They told us that they wanted to go in and put up a bunch of their own after that. We also had another group of special needs kids come in. That was a happy group of people right there, and their leaders were super happy to go in and see stuff about their family. They said that they are going to try and bring their group back again another day.
Friday at the temple saw some rain, and when it comes to the work we are doing there, rain slows things down a lot. So, we spent a lot of time in the shop, getting a bunch of stuff organized, which is something that needs to happen in there a lot.
Saturday and Sunday , y'all can probably guess what I was doing. Man, I just want to say, General Conference was awesome! I loved all of the wonderful messages that all the general authorities had to share with us. And dropping church down to 2 hours instead of 3 hours!!?!?! That is crazy, and I am excited to see what the new home material is all about. But, if I had to pick a favorite talk from these past sessions, I think it would be Elder Bednar's talk. I really love his rope analogy for the things in the church, and how everything together works to help provided support and strength to us. He also talked about how everything that is being introduced, and things that had happened before, should be seen as one unifying force, and not as a bunch of separate little things. It was pretty spiffy.
And then Monday was another rain day at the temple, So, we spent a lot of time blowing leaves off of the side walk, as it is that time of year up here too, an then doing some maintenance work on a couple of our machines and trailers. Good stuff there. And I think that is about all for me this week! I hope that y'all have a most excellent week wherever you are at!
