Moving my "P-day" to Tuesdays

Renton Day of Service

Hello Everyone!

Yes, it is indeed Tuesday. My Monday's are just super busy for me, so I think I will be sending a letter out on Tuesday's now. That is a much more relaxed day for me. But this week has been a good one.

Tuesday was the first District Meeting of the Transfer over here, so I got to meet a couple new missionaries (one who had only been out for a week!).  We also had a really nice discussion about faith during that meeting. My companions/Uber drivers and I got up and talked a bit about Enos, and how he had great faith, not only to pray for forgiveness, but his great faith to go out and share the things that the Lord had told him.

Wednesday was a day sat the temple, and the big project of the day was removing all the leftover sod from the south west lawn. It is nearly ready for grass seed now, which is nice. Then it won't be this giant brown patch around the temple.

Thursday I was in the FDC. Mostly just learning more about my family, since traffic has slowed in there with the temple being closed. We did get one group in there that day though, and it was pretty fun to show them around.

Friday I was back in the dirt patch, this time raking out a bunch of roots an rocks that we did not need there. I also worked with Elder Thomas, and we went to town on mowing several areas around the temple, ans cleaning up a bunch of branches that were cut out of trees. Oh, and side note! I watched a really cool Christian movie that is called "The Shack". That is a super good movies, and I highly suggest watching it.

Back on track though. Saturday was super fun because it was the Renton Day of Service. Basically, everyone in the city of Renton, and some surrounding areas get together, and help out with several community service projects. It is pretty awesome! The project that I helped out with was one that was spreading play chips in a neighborhood park, and then a bunch of wood chips through a series of trails behind the park. I had a bunch of fun! and of course, the community barbecue afterwards was worth it.

And then on Monday, another good day at the temple. I just cleaned up spots where trees had been taken out, and then worked with Dan to map out where we can put new trees and make a new flower bed. Well, that is about it for me. I hope that y'all are having a most excellent week wherever you are at!
