| Digging a trench |
Hello Everyone!
Yes, I am a day late. I was having an adventure in the mountains yesterday, so I did not have much time to write anything. But this week has been a pretty good one for me. Monday started out with fixing up the tractor that the temple ground's keepers use. I got covered in dirt and oil pretty quick with that job. We also sprayed it down and the Gator, so that they look a little cleaner. After that I just mowed a bunch of grass.
I was back there Wednesday, and I got to meet the new guy who is working at the temple. His name is Jordan, and he just got back from his mission in Tennessee. He is a pretty cool guy! That morning though I was working the Sod Cutter. It worked out pretty fine when the ground was flat. But when I hit any incline at all it became the machine from hell. I was not very happy with it, because it would constantly get stuck on things, and just be a right pain in the butt. Later on though I got to have more fun digging a trench with an excavator. I really enjoyed that part of the day.
Thursday I was in the Discovery Center. I made a slight mistake though. I showed up at 10, which is when I thought it opened , and got everything set up. But when nobody showed up for 30 minutes, I got a little antsy, and called up the Director. It turned out that I showed up 2 hours early. Oops. I had fun though, showing people around, and reading a bunch of stories from my family history. Oh, and as a side not, that day, I also went to my first Seahawks game! That was a ton of fun!
Friday we were pruning trees, and cleaning up our little workshop area. That was a little bit of work there. That place was pretty dirty. Saturday I did a 5 hour shift at the FDC. That one was pretty slow, and not a whole lot happened there.
Sunday I went to my first meal appointment in a long time. One of the families in the ward called me over and said, "Hey, we are having the Elders over for dinner. since you are one of the Elders, do you want to come?" Oh, I had a ton of fun over there, and it felt really good to do something like that again.
And on Monday, I went on an adventure on a mountain with my older sister and Dad. That was so cool, and it felt so nice to be out among God's creations. It was so peaceful. Anyway, I hope that y'all have a most excellent week wherever you are at!
