Merry (Late) Christmas!

Temple grounds crew!

Hello Everyone and Merry Christmas!

This week here had been most fantastic! On Tuesday I hunkered down and got most of my class schedule all figured out. it was pretty easy, until it came down to figuring out what to do for my last two credits.

Wednesday was Zone Conference, and that was pretty fun. The beginning was kind of all general rule clarifications, but then they went into a more Christmas message for the missionaries. I think that one of my favorite talks there where one of the members of the Mission Presidency talked with us about how we should give the gift of proper representation to those that we come into contact with. So, for example, we should always be acting as proper representatives of Jesus Christ no matter the situation we are in. It was a pretty cool message. I also got to sing "The First Noel" with the Renton Zone, and that was pretty spiritual there. Oh! I also got an official Seattle Washington Mission shirt, which looks fantastic, and I love it!

On Thursday, I got to start out the day doing initiatories at the temple with my mother. It is always a wonderful experience to go to the temple. Right after that, I went in to the FDC, and we had people there the whole time, which was great! One guy was there to load up a bunch of pictures onto his family search account. We have a special scanner in the center that can scan picture directly into someones Family Search account. We also had a family come in that was just in to tour the place, and they took their time enjoying the center. It was good. And my sister came home for Christmas that day too! It is so great to see her!

On Friday, I worked with Elder Thomas to smooth out a bunch of mulch spots around the temple, as the recent rains have been taking a toll on the beds.

Saturday was a really slow day at the Center, so not much got done there. I also got to go into the temple for an endowment session. One of Brooklin's friends went in to take out her endowment, since she is leaving for her mission in a few months. That was a pretty cool experience.

Sunday, church was shortened down a lot, and we had a special Christmas Sacrament meeting. It was pretty fun, and there was much Christmas music sung. I was going to help the Elders out with a lesson afterwards, but it turned out that they were not around. That is what happens in missionary work sometimes.

Monday was Christmas Eve, so I spent time with the family. As a Christmas tradition, we open our presents then, and I had a pretty alright haul this year.

And yesterday being Christmas, I did not write, but just hung out. My siblings and I gave the PS4 a workout, and later on in the evening we all got together as a family and played a card game called Unstable Unicorns. That is a fun, but slightly rage inducing game.

So, that about sums it up for me! I hope that y'all have a most excellent week wherever you are at!
