Dear Jensen Family,



I am very grateful for the opportunity that I have had to serve the wonderful missionaries of the Illinois Chicago West Mission for the last 3 years.  It has been a pleasure and experience beyond description.  As you have probably heard, our mission will be merging with the Iowa Des MoinesMission and the Illinois Chicago Mission effective at the end of this month.  Missionaries serving in the Peoria Zone or Stake will be reassigned in the Iowa Des Moines Mission, which is presided over by President Briant Badger and his wife.  All other missionaries in the other 4 Stakes (Naperville, Rockland, Schaumburg, Joliet) of the Mission will be reassigned in the Illinois Chicago Mission, which is presided over by President Evan Bingham and his wife.  This merge will be effective on Wednesday, June 27th.

The process of positioning the missionaries into one of these stakes in preparation for the upcoming merge has been a very thoughtful and prayerful one.  I have taken many weeks to make the final decisions as to where the missionaries are placed and this process has the approval of the missionary department of the church.  I bear testimony of the hand of the Lord and the Spirit speaking to me in behalf of your son and I pray that the Holy Ghost will confirm to you and your wonderful son, whom I love dearly, that the reassignment is from our loving Heavenly Father.

Your son, Darwin Caleb Jensen, has been assigned to the Illinois Chicago Mission.
