| Exchanges with the Zone Leaders...and Jesus photo bombing |
Hello Everyone!
So yeah. This week has been a very cold one, and so is this coming week, and that is not good for us in an all bike area, because that hinders our work a lot. This is because they only want us out for 30 minute periods at a time, and since our mobility is restricted, we can't get really far before turning back. It really stinks, but we tried.
So, Wednesday, I finally got to teach another District Meeting, and I had a little fun with it so, I decided to go on with how the Book of Mormon can answer questions of the soul. I had each companionship search the church building for a piece of paper that had 3 questions on it that they had to answer using the Book of Mormon. When they came back, they had to teach the other companionship as if they had asked those questions to them in a lesson. Then we just kind of got into a discussion on the importance of the Book of Mormon, which was pretty cool. After District Meting, we went on Exchanges with the Zone Leaders. We had a good time. I worked with Elder Miner that day, and we basically walked outside in the cold for about 3-4 hours, trying to contact people, but with no success. We had a good time together though, so I was happy. We then got the car around dinner time so that we could go to dinner and a lesson in my area. They lesson was awesome! We taught Jeff the Plan of Salvation, and we had another great discussion with him about it.
Thursday was super slow, mostly because of Weekly Planning, but that is normal. I did find out something pretty interesting that day. My mission, as of July, will no longer exist. It is going to be merged with one or both of the existing Illinois missions as of July. I don't know a ton of details yet, so don't ask me, but hopefully we will hear more next month at Zone Conference about it. If you want a little more info, there is an article about it on mormonnewsroom.org. We also went to see Sister Washburn that night, and I took Becca duty that time. We had a fun time playing soccer and Legos together.
Friday, I got a surprise visit from Elder Kirkham. He was just in the area for a Stake MCM I think, but it was still nice to see him (and he gave us a donut that was HUGE! It was amazing!). I also took a peek in the mail that day to see cards from my family! Thank you so much guys! I think that the highlight of that day though was my experiment with food, that I am very proud that I made. It was a bacon wrapped cream cheese stuffed chicken. It was divine.
Saturday and Sunday were both pretty slow. Saturday was stop bys (when we could get out to do them) and then we had an awesome testimony meeting at church on Sunday. We also had a most excellent time at the Patterson's that night. They are a pretty fun family.
Well that is about it for me. Yeah, it was a short one, but hopefully things will pick up a little this week so that I have more that I can write about. I hope that y'all have had a most eventful week wherever you are at!

My Bacon Wrapped Cream Cheese Stuffed Chicken
I have created a thing! I got tired of having our scrub brush constantly sitting in water, so I made it so that it was not in water anymore.
