Saturday Morning Session
Deiter F. Utchdorf
-Do we have an instinct that draws us to our Heavenly home?
-There is a way to return home.
-God knows us perfectly
-2 reasons why we should turn to the Lord
-1 our life will be better
-2 we can make the lives of other better
-Does not mean our life will be free from sorrow
-Sometimes life can be more difficult in following our faith
-God will be with you
-Trust in the Lord
-Do you want to feel joy? Turn to the Lord
-This path back home is not one of our own, but one that leads to many others that we can help back home
-Do not focus on inefficienties and shortcomings
-God will work through us, no matter how we view ourselves
-God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the mighty
-Though we are imperfect, if we turn to God, He will use us for His pourposes
-God will use us IF WE ARE WILLING
-The Light of Christ can direct us back to our home
-You can't just expect to end up where you want to be. It requires work and effort.

-The tech we have is amazing, but too much use can turn us in towards ourselves, and diminish our need to turn out and help others
-Remember to serve those around us.
-Saving the world is great, but what of our neighbors? What do those closest to us?
-Serving need not be on a grand scale. The little things can make such a big difference
-Changing the world strats in your own family
-We have a church to help support and sustain each other
-We watch out for each other in a ward family
-Ask Heavenly Father to show you who needs you, and He will show you
-Look around your own areas for ways that you can help
-Ask, "Who needs me today?"
-Our needs are usually met through those around us

-Friend of the world is an enemy to God
-Salvation is individual, exaltation is a family matter
-We must use this life as a time to prepare to meet God
-Plan of Salvation gives us a unique view of this earth life
-With this view, we can endure many things
-Family Proclamation is something that is something to live by
-^^^ will strengthen the family greatly
-Fmaily is the fundemaental unit of society
- Live by Family Proc and you will find amazing blessings

-Is there a work that the Lord has for you?
-YES
-God has an important work for each of us
-We were given assignments in the premortal life
-The lord has more in mind for you than you have in mind for yourself
-How do we find out what God wants us to do?
-1 Focus on others
-We need to bless others and do good
-We can figure out things to help us in the context of helping others
-2 Discover and develop Spiritual Gifts
-Everyone has a spiritual gifts
-Ask God, and He can help us find out what they are
-We should develop our gifts
-3 Make use of adversity
-Turn these event that seem hard as a way to developers ourselves
-4 Rely on God
-By relying on Him and asking Him what to do, He will help us.
-Sin can dull our spiritual power
-Satan seeks to distract us from developing our gifts
-Every assignment from God is important
-Give the glory to God, as it is His work
-He will use us to further His work

-How do we accept our Savior? (eat his flesh and drink his blood)
-Doctrin of Christ shows us what we can do
-Sacrament covenants
-What are we remembering when we partake of the Sacrament
-We cannot be content with how we are. We must move constantly towards Christ.
-We must persue holiness
-We seek holiness as we take up our cross daily
-Service is the fiber of an exalted life
-Turn you heart and will to God(aspect of repentance)
-God will tell us what w lack so that we can improve

-Satan has made covenants and Commandments seem impossible
-Do not beat down on yourselves because you are not perfect as God commands
-We live in a fallen world and are a fallen people
-Here in mortality, perfection is still pending
-God is our perfect example
-The gospel has been for the perfecting of the saints
-These seemingly impossible things the scriptures tell us, can help us understand what we can become
-Our only hope in perfection is receiveing it as a gift from heaven, not earning it
-Is it too much for God to ask that we be a little more Godlike in our lives?
-Strive for perfection in this life
-Give your help to anyone trying to get back to home to God

Gary E. Stevenson
-Spiritual eclipses can occur if we let small things block out those things that obscure our vision of heaven
-Put on your gospel glassed to protect your eyes during a time of spiritual eclipses
-Don't let your glasses to blind you to the things that are going on, but let them help to guide you
-Don't let things in the media blind you and give you a scewed version of things in life
-Let us use tech to help spread the gospel
-Avoid pride
-Protect yourself and your eternal view be hampered by things that do not matter
Stephen W. Owen
-God's plan is a plan of happiness, not of misery, and repentance is a way that we can gain that happiness
-Repentance is always positive
-Keep doing the simple things so that you can keep your faith alive
Quinten L. Cook
-Our mortal experience is a very short time in an eternal perspective
-We are all equal before God
-We do not want to "sleep" through this life
-Have humility in this life

-The Lord will move is to where we need to be if we are responsive to spiritual promptings

Dale G. Renlund
-The atoning power of Christ must be delivered to all, and that is done through the presithood.
-God intends more for priesthood than just service and a class
-The priesthood is guarded by keys and covenants
-Presithood is not an amorphous source of power
-We covenant to help God and His work
-We must honor our covenants
David F. Evans
-Get a testimony
-We have a duty to get a maintain a firm testimony
Richard J. Maynes
-When we keep our covenants, the Lord's trust in us grow
-Trust is built on integrity
-Commit to do the Lord's will
-First, place your trust in the Lord, then earn His trust, and the trust of your family

-We have upset and downs when it comes to our Spiritual wellness
-Even our deepest spiritual wounds can be healed through Christ
-Light=spirit=truth
-As you diligently work with the light that you have, and earnestly seek more, God will give you more light
-Darkness is not an indication that there is no light.
-Usually just means that we are not in the right place to receive the light
-Satan wants us to be in a state of darkness, and forget that there is light
-As a deciple of Christ, we are a bearer of light, and we must share that light
-Seek the light until it shines brightly through us

-Jesus Christ is the head of the church
-He leads his church today through Prophets and revelation
-He has, does, and will use revelation
-He will give revelation to those who serve Him
-It takes a ton of faith to trust in the things that the Lord does
-Have the faith to seek revelation for yourself
-The Lord calls imperfect people to lead His church, but He has called them, and we should trust them
-Trust the servents of the Lord, despite their human weaknesses
-The Lord sees His servents perfectly
-The faith of the people will sustain those in authority

Jean B. Bingham
-There is a ton of bad stuff happening in the world today
-Finding joy in this life is easy. Just focus on the Savior
-Studying the life and teachings of Jesus, we can really better understand our Savior and come closer to him
-Sometimes we are afraid to trust God and what He wants for us, but as we really try to begin to understand, we can find peace
-We develop greater faith and show a greater desire to follow Christ as we study of him
Donald L. Hallstrom
-Where is our miracle? Why do we as faithful saints have so much bad stuff happen to us?
- Faith is vital in miracles
- do we have the faith to not be healed from our earthly afflictions to be healed eternally?
-We must accept the will of God
-We are living a miracle, and further miracles lie ahead
David A. Bednar
-If we follow God's plan, we shall have eternal life
-Press forward with faith in the Savior, and we will have no more disposition to do evil
-Ordinances and covenants allow us to receive blessings from God
-The Sabbath is God's time
-The Sabbath can elevate our vision above the things of this world
-Temples are a place of Ordinances and Covenants
-The home should be the best place to remember the Savior
-Our experiences in the temple and on the Sabbath should help us to have a more spiritual time in the home, and help to establish a more excellent way in the home
- What we do in our homes with His sacred time is pivotal to divine nature
- The gospel is more than a routine checklist of things to do,it I designed to help us become more like our Father in Heaven

-There are times where we will find ourselves on an unexpected path
-Do not doubt your divine nature and eternal potential
- Hope and peace are always available through the Atonement
- Jesus can empathize perfectly
-We can't control what happens, but we can control how we respond to the situations we are put in
-Turning to the Lord and not away will help us greatly in our times of need
-We have a choice whether or not to look to the Lord in times of hardship

-Look beyond what you see
-Man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart
-We separate ourselves from people based on what we see, but we must look beyond that
-Look through Spiritual eyes

-Read the Book of Mormon
-We will need this study of the Book of Mormon to help us in these troubled times
-When we stand on His rock, doubt and fear are deminished
-We can go to the rescue of others without thought of our own needs
-We can be the angel that can bear others up.
-Opposition will strengthen our faith in Christ

-Do not forget our heritage of the early saints
-Do not listen to those who claim to have knowledge, and are not in the position to be giving that knowledge
-Beware of those who claim miraculous healings in exchange for money
-Be wise and aware
-Have faith in every footstep
-There is no greater blessing than to share the message of the Restoration with others

-The Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion
-People try to disprove the Book of Mormon but they fail

-As soon as we stop trying to prove the Book of Mormon logically and factually, and take it to God and ask, we will then gain the testimony that we need of it.

-God expects us to be one
-When you walk into the chapel, you leave behind your differences
-How we act when we are apart really shows how we are really unified
-We must remain one with each other
-Stop trying to find fault with one another
- We can be more united with God as we become united

-Do we trust that the Commandments are for our good?
-Do we trust our leaders He appoints
-HARD IS GOOD
-Gives us a chance to prove ourselves and grow
-Through trials, the Lord tests us and chastenes His people
- No sacrifice is too great for temple blessings
-We all have challenges, the variable is our reaction to them
-We can choose our reaction to hard
-Do we have the faith to trust that God will help us if we make sacrifices
-He wants what is best for us. He know what is best for us
-For evil to prevail, all good has to do is nothing

-It is important to have a testimony of the first vison
-3 truths from the first vision
-1. God calls prophets
-They guide us in this life
-Listening to their counsel can bless us
-Act when the Prophet speaks
-2. The true nature of God
- God is a being of flesh and blood
-He is a God that hears and answers our prayers
-He is a God that gave us agency

-3. We received knowledge of the mission of God
-Without this, death would be the end

-Misinformation about our beliefs abounds in the world today
-We must do all we can to fortify ourselves against the adversary
-Turn away from the scorning finger of those in the spacious building
- James 1:5. If you have questions, follow that council
- Study the scriptures in your home, one of the best places to do this because the family can lean and become strengthend together
-It is an essence of religion to not have a solid answer. That is why we have faith

-Come to Conference prepared to receive the word of the Lord, and you will receive of it
