The first couple of days

Hey moma!
It has been really great out here at the MTC so far. I have learned more about the gospel than I ever have just during these first couple of days! It is really interesting how much the scriptures can teach you when you spend several hours a day just reading them for several hours each day. So, the first day. After Marnier dropped me off, they gave me a name tag, gave me a quick tour, and then immediately began the first class. That was kind of crazy, but it wasn't that bad. My companion here is Elder Gill. He is from San Diego area in California, and is off to the Washington D.C. South mission. He is an interesting kid, and I like him. He is really good at coming up with scriptures in lessons. The other elders in my district are Elder Rogers and Elder Lund, and they are both going to the Chicago West mission with me. They are also pretty nice elders  (not allowed to say guys when tal,kng about the elders), and I am glad that we will get to serve in the same mission together. We also taught 3 investigators on the first day, but it was with like 20 other Missionaries, so that was nice. Next week we actually start teaching investigators as a companionship, which sounds like it is going to be really fun. I met my branch president on Thursday, and he is a really nice guy. The only thing that scares me a out him is that he has a habit of  calling on people who have not prepared a talk on Sunday. I am going to work on that after I am done emailing people. I had the first exercise period last night, and I had a great time. I ran 3 miles on the track at the top of the gym, and I was really sore afterwards, but it felt great. I am going to try out all of the equipment that they have up there next time I am in there. The food here is not that bad, but they give you A LOT! I can barely finish meals, but I have not had a bad one yet. I have not tried the orange juice yet. And this morning, we went to the temple as a zone and did an endowment session together! That was really cool to do. At this time, I don't have any pictures for you, but I will try to get some this week for you. Well, I should probably get going now. There is lots to do, even on p-day. I love you Mom! Talk to you later! (I can read emails whenever I want, but I cannot respond until my p-day.)
