Hello Everyone!
Yes, you heard it here, we finally found people to teach. That is right, that was used in a plural form. We found 2 new investigators this week! So, let us dive into this story and see how it all went down.
So, Tuesday was kind of a slow day. Just a bunch of looking around. What really stood out about that day though was we began to put our plan into action. What is that plan you may ask? Well, we made a goal together to teach as many of the members as we could, for practice for ourselves since it has been so long since we have really taught, but also to help increase the members faith in sharing the message with others. So, we taught the Gillespie's the Restoration, and that had to be one of the most Spirit filled lessons that I have ever been in. It was truly amazing, and it touched them. Seriously, any missionaries reading this, if you don't have anything to teach at your dinner appointments, teach the lessons, they really are awesome!
Wednesday started out normal with District Meeting. I taught on the importance of helping the people that we teach make and keep commitments. I had a bit of fun with that one. Then after that, we ran over to an appointment with a lady that we had got into contact with the other day. Her name is Gloria, and she is a sweet grandma lady that spends most of her day watching her grandchildren for her son and daughter-in-law. We taught her the Restoration, and she thought it was pretty cool. We then got a return appointment, and that made her our first new investigator for the first time in 5 weeks! I was so excited, I called our Mission President! He didn't answer because he was in an interview, but we sent him a text and he was pretty excited for us as well. After that though, I must have been really tired because I fell asleep for 2½ hours. Oops. But, we got out to go looking for people, and then eventually taught Jeff again. We now only have one lesson to go with him! That is super exciting!
Thursday, we had a drop lesson. Those are always tough. It was with Ed. So, it started off pretty normal, just answering his questions about things that he has been studying in the scriptures. We then tried to get into a talk about acting on the faith that we have, and how he can do this as well, but he kind of rudely cut us off, and walked out. We got a text later saying that he was going to have to discontinue meeting with us for the next little awhile. Oh well, I guess that he just needs some time. After that, we went back and we got into our Weekly Planning, which was another pretty good session. After that though, we mostly just went out finding, which was a little uneventful.
Friday was a little long. We just were walking around for most of the day. We ended up at a returning less-active house, and we just kind of talked with her. She is a super nice Hispanic lady, and she ended up feeding us dinner, which was a blessing in itself because it was so late and we still hadn't eaten dinner.
Saturday was pretty similar to Friday, but with a slight twist. So, Dinner, we got to teach another practice Restoration lesson with a member family, and we are feeling pretty good about it. We ended up in some random neighborhood later that evening, and we just knocked on a formers house, and he let us right in. His name is Amar, and he is a really knowledgeable Indian guy. The guy has a degree in Chemical engineering. We had a really cool conversation with him, and we ended up teaching him the Restoration, and he really liked it. We got a return appointment for next Saturday, and he is now our second new investigator in 5 weeks! That was just so awesome!
And of course, Sunday. We got to sing in Sacrament Meeting with basically all of the men in the Ward, and that was spretty fun. We sang a pretty cool lesson rendition of "I Need Thee Every Hour". We also taught in Gospel Principles about work, and why it is so important that we stay busy. It was a pretty fun lesson. And that evening, we got to do our first practice Plan of Salvation lesson. That is good because we are going to be teaching that to Gloria on Tuesday.
Well, that is about all for this week! I do want to leave with you my testimony that there is a loving Heavenly Father in Heaven, and he wants us only to have the most happiness in this life. Oh yes, there are going to be hard times in this life, some things that we may think are just too much to bear. But, I know that He will never give us anything that we cannot take. He knows exactly how we can reach our potential, and He knows that will be the best for us. Well, I hope that y'all have a most excellent week wherever you are at!

Just a duck walking around in the snow.
I used the brownie thing that Brooklin sent me finally, and it works pretty good. I am now unstoppable!
