Light the world this Christmas!

Writing letters to our parents

Hello Everyone!

I guess with all of the balloons and lights up in peoples yards, it must be that time of year again. I honestly love the Christmas season. There is just so much to be happy about! So, this week. Tuesday, I made pancakes, and they were most excellent. We also have been participating in the #LightTheWorld World initiative as a companionship. For those of you who are friends with me on Facebook, you have seen all the things that my companion and I have been doing. As for those of you who aren't....TOO BAD!!!!😉😄😂 I am just kidding, I will put it here for you, probably at the end of the letter.

We also got a referral from the YSA Elders, which is awesome(though, we still haven't met her yet.....). Let me just say, YSA Elders are so cool! They work their butts off all day, and barely get investigators for themselves, but they are always finding for us. It must be hard, but I am super happy for them when they do get an investigator. Then we drove back to our apartment and tried to fix things so our car won't get towed overnight, but that ended up going nowhere, which is no fun.

Then we went off to our recent converts house with our Stake President. First thing she did was give us Christmas presents, which was pretty cool. We then got to talking with her, and she is like an amazing missionary! She is already working on the rest of her family, which is super cool! We should definitely teaching more of them real soon.

Wednesday, we finally got back into contact with Nahrina, and we are going to hold on to her now. We are really pushing to meet more often than once a month, and I think she is getting that from us, which is good. We took our car to the Mason's after that so we could vacuum it out, since there are no free vacuums in this area. Then it was off to an excellent dinner at Portillo's, and then to home.

Thursday we gave our car to the other Elders, and worked around on bikes. We also did Weekly Planning, and that was a pretty good session there. We also saw Gary again, and he is starting to ask more questions, which is huge because he usually doesn't get as involved as he was this time. We will baptize him yet, but probably not while I am here. He will continue to progress slowly, but it is progression!

Friday we were at the church all day. First, it was for Zone Conference, which was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!! There was just a ton of good stuff there, and I think my favorite part was the Zone Breakout session where they talked about recognizing our potential, and then going out there and realizing it. It was super cool! Also, I found a box with my name on it!! I love boxes!!!!

After Zone Conference, we hung around the church building to help our ward set up for their Christmas party the next day. We were really needed, because not enough people showed up to help, and it took a really long time to get done. But, I was proud of the work we put into that. Friday we woke up to a nice flurry of snow, and then a very nice car that we had to take in for an oil change. We tried to fix our parking stuff again, but that ended up nowhere again. That stuff is really starting to frustrate me a little. After that though, we went to finish setting up for the party, and then proceeded to enjoy the fruits of our labors.  The party was Mexican themed, and there was a ton of great food there. I loved it so much! Celeste and Meka also made it there for part of it, and they had a great time.

Sunday was an easy day. Our investigator Joan made it to all but the last 30 minutes of church, and she loved it! We now just have to finish off the lessons with her, and things will be golden. The only problem we are having there is meeting with her because she is super busy taking care of her ex-husband who is super sick.

After church though, we just kind of went to town on finding, but no luck there sadly. Maybe one day someone will want to talk to us, but today is not that day. Tomorrow, maybe. Well, that is about it for me for this week. Below will be the list for #LightTheWorld this week, and a few picture that go with it. I hope that y'all have had a most excellent time where ever you are at!

Go and #LightTheWorld!!!

I (his mom) asked him about being towed...this is what he said.

They are going to get a new Towing company in there, so they are updating the passes. We get them near the end of the month(if all goes well...).

So Day 7 for #LightTheWorld is all about kids. The scripture is “Suffer the little children to come unto me.”—Mark 10:14. So, I decided that I wanted to try and make one of my favorite little people smile today! If you don't know who that little Poly girl is, she is my youngest sister Kalia Willamina Buck-Buck Hooty-Hooty Wookie-saurous Lucky Cat Hello Kitty Jensen, and we are going to be together in our family for eternity. She is one of the cutest kids out there, and I love her to death. I miss her a ton, and I know that she misses me too, but let me tell you nothing more brings a smile to my face when a letter comes in the mail with her name on it, and I can't wait for Christmas to come so that I can talk with her, and the rest of the family. I love you so much little Kalia! Big brother misses you a ton, and I want you to remember to always smile, and be the best girl you can be for Mom and Dad.
#LightTheWorld Day 7

So here is part 1 of my Day 9 for #LightTheWorld. This here is one of my best friends from Oahu, Pohai, who came to visit me in a time of great sickness. I am forever grateful for the time that he took to help lift my spirits during a time that they couldn't be any lower. If you know anyone going through a rough time due to disease, whether they be the one that is sick or the family of that person, take some time today to visit with them, because I can guarantee you, it will be appreciated. Let's keep Lighting the World!
#LightTheWorld Day 9

Day 8 of #LightTheWorld!
Jesus taught, "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.”—Matthew 5:44
Even though you don't always get along, but that's alright! Because violence solves everything...NOT! You should always try to be nice to everyone! Elder Jensen and I made a promise at the start of #LightTheWorld to be nice to each other to the best of our Ablilites! It's made a big difference to the work and our relationship!
We invite you to continue to #LightTheWorld!
